I can sit here and tell you a motivational quote (which I do love to do I am not going to lie haha), but at the end of the day words, quotes and speeches aren't enough sometimes. At the end of the day you can never truly see someone's heart or soul for it is. This is why it is crucial to love, without conditions, without selfish motives, but to love because it is simply, enough. I have been to churches that shame people who are in seasons of complete anguish and pain, telling them to declare healing or that its due to their past, at the end of the day suffering is and always will be a part of life. This does NOT mean God has left you or that you are forgotten, what it means is that he will walk you through it. He will NEVER, EVER, EVER shame his children. The verse Romans 1:17 says: So, in Christ, our sins have been forgiven and there is no condemnation. This does not only speak to your past mistakes, it speaks to EVERYTHING. There is no SHAME within him. The love of God is not based on your prayer life, your job position, or even how much you have given to others, it is based on complete, unconditional, relentless, never ending, never forsaking: LOVE.
1 Corinthians verse 13: If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Nothing will stop his love for you, even if you don't want it, he wont stop. It is like having a clingy boyfriend who wont let you be- he will stick to you like glue, through sickness and in health, just as marriage ceremonies say- for better or for worse. His love is not based on self- efforts, performing, being seen or being heard. It is based on the fact that he loves because he loves because he LOVES.
You may be reading this and be the most intellectual person on earth, who may think how on earth is there a God when the very world and ground we walk upon is falling apart? How is there a God when he takes innocent lives? How can there be a God when there is so much darkness everywhere I look? You may think to yourself if there is a God how can there be so much darkness? Those are very valid questions, questions I cannot, nor will ever be able to answer, questions I have thought at times in my own life, but I have come to this conclusion that: I am still here, for whatever reason or purpose if you are here, you are meant to be, regardless of the pain that you are enduring- you are still here and faith is a seed that cannot be planted in our own human intellect, but only as becoming a little child who decides to believe. Mathew 18:3 says: And he said: Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Faith is believing in something you cannot see. Hebrews 11:1- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is not meant to hurt you, but heal you, faith is not a burden, it is not something that is only used when things are good or bad or anything for that matter, faith is a choice to believe in something that to the human eyes will never make sense. Faith is not for the spiritually blind or closed hearted- it is for those who want to see. Faith is not a religion, a building, a bible college certification, faith is substance to your soul that cannot be wavered or shaken by outward influences or human concepts, it is a beautiful, glorious gift the maker has given to all who choose it. How beautiful is this! That the one who made it all, wants us all to be set free through faith, through love. Ephesians 2:8-9: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. I like to think of this verse when I am down, Psalm 23:2: He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.
Much Love,
