When pain arises, God surprises.

Pain is inevitable, in this lifetime you will face pain, feel pain and know pain. The thing is pain can change you, it can change you for the better or it can change you for the bitter. Pain is uncomfortable and hard, many times it is much easier to run away from the pain, than to confront it; head on. At times it is hard to put into words, and this is why letting it all out to a counselor is sooo good! I suggest to it for everyone and anyone, no shame in that at all!! You see from a young age, you are born, innocent and blameless, then as you grow older things begin to happen, your favorite toy in the school yard gets stolen or snatched away from you, a teacher unfairly tell you off in front of everyone, a sibling gets treated better then you (just examples), but these little actions that people do towards you as a child have a MASSIVE impact on the way your future personality, inner, emotional health and well being develops- your soul. This world is not perfect and nobody in it is perfect- NOBODY. People will hurt you and it will suck, plane and simple, but it is important to feel what you feel and face it, not shove it away only to have to get an actual shovel and dig it up because it is buried too deeply!

I believe that when faced with deep pains you cannot describe, God will take you and bring you to a place of safety and peace when you least expect it! Whether a stranger compliments you, a family member apologizes to you about something or a friend hands you an unexpected gift. Surprises are great, some people don't like them, but I will take as many as I can get (hehe)! I think its easy to forget the little things are just as significant if not more of an impact, then the big! Look for the good, because it is ALWAYS there, if you seek it out! I know for me personally the best and most healing moments of my life have been on the floor, on my knees crying to God to come and save me- why?- I believe in those times is when I learned the most and gained from the pain; no pain- no gain. When a child is growing physically they get growing pains and it is the same with our hearts. It hurts to grow sometimes, it feels uncomfortable, but you shape into a bigger and better, wiser person because of it and if you are a healthy soul, those around you will be affected by this and pick it up as well- what is around you is contagious just, like a virus! (you affect the atmospheres you are in)! I am sure you can read this and think of many times you felt great pain in your life, but I am also sure you can think of many amazing victories and surprises you had along the way, moments of hope in the darkness.

Lets face it, things will get messy, but just like a bad hair day- there's ways to cover it up (hats, buns, headbands lol), so when life gets messy and you feel crummy because of it, try to remember you will grow through what you go through AND the more you face it, the better. Do not let pain make you bitter, let is make you stronger because oh boy, can it do so! Look for the good around you, allow yourself to feel what you feel and heal what needs to heal- you can only heal from things you face. Let grace show you the way because it will- the grace of God will take you places and show you things no man or woman ever could. Trust the wind of power and mercy. God can pour onto your soul, let love reside within you because, it is enough. Go lay in a field of green pastures and cast out all your cares, feel the wind on your face, listen to the birds of the air- you are alive- you will be surprised what can happen in the midst of your growing pains! Let waves of grace open the doors of healing within your life!
