Pure, innocent, loved, adored, cherished.
Broken, isolated, afraid, hurt, ashamed & bruised.
As a child, as a young girl, it is so easy to see the world purely & beautifully. To see everything in light & in truth, and as you grow up people begin to hurt you, even your very own family hurts you, deeply though they mean no harm. Then comes adolescence when you begin to truly see the world and all it is cracked up to be & you want a taste of it, so alcohol gets introduced, then boys, then sex, then partying. All of a sudden that little girl dies a little more every drink, every assault. Every time shes drugged, every time shes broken by another man. All this girl wants is to be loved, heard & not left alone, but time & time again the same tragedy hits her & she no longer remembers the light she once lived. She becomes numb to the pain & pain becomes a part of her. Moving forward and starting over, she meets a man who claims to love her, he thinks the world of her & takes her out & spoils her.
So then the so called love began to grow, but then he began getting angry with her when she wanted to see friends, he began feeding her lies, but love blinded she fell for them and before she new it, she was trapped. All of a sudden her family began questioning the love blinded soul, but her eyes could not see clearly. Her heart was tangled up. Another assault, another man, the same pattern spins around her, binding her in a naught. It seems as though this is the end, it seems as though that hope was gone, until one day something changed, something shifted and she realized the only person that can take her out, is the one who brought her in, God. So with a pleading heart & streams down her face she turned towards him & saw a loving grace. Who did not see her shame and pain, but saw the little girl in the beginning, just the same.
Fighting through the haunting pain, the fear that filled her and the shame. She new she was now free, but it was going to be a journey, no longer was she bound to chaos, but found a peace within it. A girl is who she was through it all & a woman is who she will be. No longer a victim because her worth, was found in victory.
