Seek peace, above all else

Look and you will find

You will find truth

And you will find peace.

For waves of peace

Wash over you

Like a flood falling from the sky

Like a stream in the woods

Run to peace

It will set you free.

It is okay to not be okay. I think that it is so easy to put on a front and pretend that everything is great. Our society teaches us to put on a brave face. I don't think that is necessarily wrong, but I do think that pushing away the real pain you are dealing with inside will do no good either. When somebody asked hi, how are you the initial response it to say good, its just the normal thing to do, but what are you truly feeling, are you really okay.... Not always. I am not saying to spill your life out to someone who simply says how are you, but I just find it unfortunate how many people hide behind a fake façade or false act that is not true to who they really are. I would much rather be real, honest and my true self over anything else I this world.

Life can get challenging, people can be challenging, but pretending to be someone you are not is the most challenging thing to do and probably takes the most effort. Use that energy to be true to yourself instead of coming up with pointless ideas of how you want people to perceive you. Let that all go and be you and if you don't know you are, discover it, ask God and he will show you. At the end of the day everyone is already facing enough issues to deal with, so deal with your own. Look at the aspects of your life that are pulling you down and the thought patterns you create. Thoughts rule your life so create healthy ones about yourself! I think that being true to yourself is everything and many do not do this. Instead of nit picking at all the problems everyone else around you have. Do yourself a big favor and look at the issues in your own life and make some healthy changes!

I am not a perfect person, nobody is and it is okay to look at myself and be real with me and with God because he already knows what's going on. I learned that the cares of this world do not matter, what matters is how I better myself and how I treat those around me. I am in a process and the saying, some good things take time, is true. I am trying to live in peace and I am passionate about sharing it! So forget about what you wish you could be, or should be or stop acting a certain type of way and just be you, faking it only hurts yourself. I am looking to God for peace above all else and I am seeking peace. I think that after the storms I have faced in my life. I know now that life is going to be hard at times, but what is harder is going through life without loving God, myself and lacking peace.

If only we spoke what we truly felt? If only when we asked someone how they are doing if we would actually care to listen? Do we kneel...
