Looking down upon yourself and on the past is tremendously easy to do. I honestly think when humans experience great shame the first common reaction is to blame others and also blame yourself. It is easy to say that the past is the past and all is well, but to truly mean it, is a different story. It is also so incredibly easy to be hard on yourself and all the wrong actions and mistakes you make, made or are currently making in life, but the fact is nothing will perfect and things will not always work out the way you hoped or prayed for. The only way to stop shaming yourself and those around you is to truly and honestly get real with who you are and what how you view yourself and the world. I am personally on this journey. Loving yourself is a process and when you create many self destructing thoughts and actions for years on years it is not exactly an overnight change, but it is possible with lots of prayer and petition and taking steps in the right direction eventually you will get there.

Take the time

To see yourself

Take the time

To forgive

What's done is done

And what is, will be

So hold onto truth

and the pain will flee.

If only we spoke what we truly felt? If only when we asked someone how they are doing if we would actually care to listen? Do we kneel...
