I am a female. I am a creation from God and he has made me perfect in his image. The amount of times I have had to say this to myself is unreal. It is so easy to look in the mirror and see how many flaws I have, hell its easy to point out the flaws on others too! But that is just a terrible road you do not want to go down. Once you realize how truly beautiful you are and not just outer beauty. I am talking accepting who you truly are as a human being placed on this earth for a reason with an amazing heart and purpose.
Your eyes will begin to open and you will see yourself in a different light. I do believe there is a major difference between loving yourself and accepting who you are compared to being conceited. Loving yourself is realizing the person you are is pretty cool. I honestly think that loving yourself is kind of just, liking yourself. It is the same as liking someone you accept their flaws and see their beauty. Being full of yourself and being in love with yourself is whole different ball game... I am learning that the more I accept myself and speak healthy thoughts such as that I am beautifully and wonderfully made. The more I say it the more I believe in it because just as God says, you are a masterpiece. That is how he sees his girls and that is how he wants you to see yourself.
Overcoming the nasty thoughts that you are ugly or unworthy of great love are simply lies. I have been fighting this battle for years, but I am slowly, but surely no longer giving into these painful thoughts. I want to see the good things that are inside of me as well as in others and to have that shine out. I want to see myself in a healthy and good way and especially for ladies to see this all too (as we can be so hard on ourselves). The opinion and judgements of others will no longer affect you when you view yourself in truth. I am learning day by day that the way I see myself is a reflection of how others see me, you are what your thoughts are.
We have all met that one person that likes to destroy everyone else around them by rude remarks and even subtle comments just to make themselves feel better. Well let me tell youuuu... those people are insecure and the only reason they put others down is because they do not see themselves in a right way. Once you learn to embrace who you are and who God has made you to be those rude, subtle comments wont even phase you. Ladies!!! Lets stop criticising each other, society already does that enough on its own. Accept who you are and look at the beauty stop looking at the ashes!! They are ashes for a reason (dead, meaningless, not-powerful in any way shape or form). You are a light a beautiful, radiant light. You are not your past and you are not ugly! Start believing it.
